STATE TOURNAMENT ROLLS ON

Class B Boys took the stage at the Big House this morning for their quarterfinals. #1 Calumet jumped out early and never looked back in a 71-38 win over #10 Duke. #8 Dover got all over #5 Braggs 60-36. #3 Stuart earned a 68-57 win over Deer Creek Lamont. #9 Wilson (Henryetta) pulled away from #6 Hammon 72-55. Brett Allen led the Warriors 16. Tripp Higgins pitched in with 10.

The Class B Girls are underway as we speak with the War on Highway 34 State Tournament style going on right now. Tune in to kool 94 or paragontv for the audio from #1 Hammon and #11 Leedey. That one tipped off earlier at 4:30. The other Class B girls semifinals include #7 Kiowa and #9 Whitesboro. #3 L-S draws #5 Chattanooga. The nightcap features #6 Arnett and #4 Smithville.

Yesterday #4 Canute put a scare in 3 time defending state champion and #1 Seiling. The Trojanettes held a 3 point lead early in the 4th quarter when Sr. Teagan Hamar hit back-to-back 3’s that gave the Lady Cats the lead that they’d never relinquish. Freshman Sadie Allen led Canute with 12. Hamar paced all scorers with 17. Canute ends the season 25-5, brings back everyone next year, and will add some fantastic players from their jr high squad.

THUNDER IN MEMPHIS TONIGHT

The Ok City Thunder will look to keep pace with the white hot Cleveland Cavaliers in the race for the league’s best record on Beale Street tonight in Memphis. OKC takes on the Grizz trailing the Cavs by a game, but ahead in the western conference by 10 ½ games over the Lakers. Ok City beat Memphis on their home floor 125-112 just about a month ago. You can hear Thunder/Grizz on 98.1 fm and 1240 am. Pregame gets started at 7 with the tip coming at 8:30.
