HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS TONIGHT

It’s another busy night all across Western Oklahoma on the high school basketball hardwood. It’s Homecoming in Elk City with Blanchard in town. The Elkettes are ranked #14 in Class 4A with a 10-2 record while the Lady Lions sport an even 6-6 mark. The Big Elks have struggled a bit so far, going 2-9 to this point. The schedule doesn’t let up with the #12 Lions who are 8-4. We’ll have homecoming at 6:15 then the pregame after that ahead of the tip. There’s also Elkette hoops tomorrow afternoon. They’ll travel to Lawton to take on the Wolverines. That game will tip around 3.

Paragontv has a slew of games tonight. The biggest game in girls basketball in the entire state will be on paragontv. Class B #2 Hammon travels to Class A #1 Seiling. You can also watch Mangum at Canute, Calumet comes to AB, Merritt hosts BFDC, and Erick heads to CBA. All the girls games will tip at 6:30 with the boys to follow around 8.

THUNDER BLOW AWAY THE CAVS

The Ok City Thunder came into last night’s rematch against the Cleveland Cavaliers down both big men against the twin towers of Cleveland. It seemed like a horrible matchup without Hartenstein and Chet. What transpired was an absolute beatdown. Thing is the Thunder were the team administering the beatdown. OKC used a small ball lineup to out run the Cavs all night in a 134-114 win that wasn’t nearly that close. SGA became the first Thunder player ever to score 40 points in less than 30 minutes. Lu Dort stroked home 6 of 9 from deep. OKC led by as many as 42 at one point. This result ties these two teams for the best record in the NBA at 34-6. Ok City is back at it tonight down in Dallas against the Mavs. You can hear it on 98.1fm and 1240 am. Pregame starts at 6 with the weird tip time at 7:30

NFL DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS

The NFL’s Divisional Playoff round kicks off tomorrow afternoon. The two time defending KC Chiefs welcome Houston to Arrowhead at 3:30. Saturday’s nightcap is in Detroit with the Lions hosting the Commanders. Sunday starts in Philly at 2 as the Eagles play host to the Rams. The final game of the weekend is in Buffal between the Bills and Ravens. That one kicks at 5:30

CUMMINS ON THE MOVE IN THE CALIFORNIA DESERT

Wford’s Quade Cummins continues to play well in the second full field event on the PGA Tour this week. Cummins fired 6 under 66 yesterday and is 5 under today with 3 holes left. Quade’s currently in a tie for 11th with the second round starting to come to a conclusion. It’s a 54 hole cut this week with the first 3 rounds on different golf courses. Cummins will play the toughest of the three tomorrow, Pete Dye’s Stadium Course.
