HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL RESULTS 

It was a fantastic night on the high school basketball hardwood last night all across Western Oklahoma. Elk City traveled to Anadarko for a Western Conference double header. The Elkettes fell behind by 15 at halftime before a stirring comeback fell just short in a 46-41 loss to the Lady Warriors. Abby Brown led EC with 20 and Campbell Garbarino chipped in with 10. The Big Elks fell behind early and never really competed with the Anadarko Warriors in the boys game. The Warriors scored the first 20 in a 76-34 win. Tucker Garza had 9. Jeremiah and Damon jackson both had 7.  

Paragontv had a ton of action as well on Tuesday night. In the girls games, Canute tripped up Arnett 58-46 in a battle of top 10 teams, Cheyenne-Reydon trounced Erick 43-10, Leedey smoked Beaver 78-29, AB whipped Sweetwater 51-16, Merritt blew out Navajo 63-30. On the boys side, Canute clipped Arnett 59-58, Erick topped Cheyenne-Reydon 52-33, Leedey flogged Beaver 62-27, AB hammered Sweetwater 65-44, Merritt got the better of Navajo 47-25.  

OKLAHOMA STATE WINS FIRST CONFERENCE GAME; OU IN SEARCH OF THEIRS TONIGHT 

The Oklahoma St Cowboys earned their first Big 12 win in 3 tries last night inside Gallagher-Iba Arena against Kansas St. Abou Ousmane poured in 27 and Marchelus Avery added 13 in a 79-66 win over the Wildcasts. The Pokes improve to 9-5, 1-2 in the league. They’re at Utah on Saturday evening.  

Oklahoma is still looking for their first SEC win, and they’ll get a shot at it tonight with Texas A&M in town. #17 Oklahoma comes in 13-1, 0-1 in league play while the #10 Aggies are 12-2, 1-0 in the SEC ahead of tonight’s matchup. Sooners/Aggies tips inside the LNC at 8. 

THUNDER/CAVS MEET TONIGHT IN HISTORIC REGULAR SEASON MATCHUP 

The Ok City Thunder are in Cleveland tonight for a historic regular matchup against the Cavs. OKC’s riding a 15 game win streak, while the Cavs are winner’s of 10 straight. It’s the first time in NBA regular season history in which a game will pit two teams with double digit win streaks and also two teams that have won 15 straight in a single season. It’s only the 3rd time two teams with .850 winning percentages through at least 30 games will face each other. Ok City is undefeated against eastern conf teams while Cleveland is unbeaten against the West. The Cavs have the NBA’s best record at 31-4 while the Thunder are second best with a 30-5 mark. You can hear it live on 98.1fm and 1240am. Pregame started at 4:30 ahead of the early 6:00 tip
