HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS TONIGHT

There are a slew of high school basketball games coming at you tonight on the paragon network. Elk City will tip their season off inside the Pioneer Center tonight against Woodward. The Elkettes are coming off a 14-15 season last year that saw them make their first Area Tournament appearance since 2020. Woodward was 11-16 last year and were a game shy of the Area Tournament. The Boys game features two teams looking to bounce back from subpar seasons. The Big Elks went 7-19 and lost their first two games in the playoffs. Woodward was 10-15, losing both their playoff games as well. It'll be the first game for new Big Elk Head Coach Tyler Foale this evening. We'll have it live streamed on bigelktv.com. Pregame gets started around 6:15 with the tip to come at 6:30 for the girls and around 8 for the boys.

Paragontv has a whole bunch of games as well. After sweeping Cordell last night, Merritt heads to Kingfisher, Hobart heads to Canute, Erick travels to Sentinel, AB heads to B-O, and Hammon hosts C-R. All these games will be boys and girls doubleheaders with the girls games all tipping off at 6:30 and the boys starting around 8.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF RANKINGS

The penultimate release of the college football playoff committee rankings comes at you tonight. We'll get a glimpse into the thinking of the committee and the pecking order ahead of conference championship Saturday. It seems like there are a handful of teams for 1 final at large spot. The order of Alabama, Ole MIss, South Carolina, Miami, and maybe even BYU will serve as a guide for what could happen after the dust settles on Saturday.

THUNDER PLAY FINAL NBA CUP GAME TONIGHT

After a 4-1 west coast road swing, the OK City Thunder are back at home tonight for their 4th and final NBA Cup game against the Utah Jazz. OKC is looking to advance in the in season tournament with a win tonight against Utah and some help from an old friend. If the Thunder win, they would win their group if KD and the Suns win at home against the Spurs. San Antonio winning dimishes the Thunder's chances of advancing dramatically. They would then need to win the Wild Card with point differential. They're way behind Dallas in that regard but not impossible. You can hear Thunder/Jazz tonight on 98.1fm and 1240am. Pregame gets going at 5:30 with the tip scheduled for 7.
