HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS RESULTS

Paragon TV was at 5 different locations last night for some small school western oklahoma hoops action. In the girls games, Hammon blew away AB 80-42, Canute beat up on Sweetwater 64-11, C-R topped H-E 39-23, Erick smoked Olustee-Eldorado 56-14, and Leedey edged Sentinel 47-46. In those boys games, Hammon pulled away from AB 56-43, Canute hammered Sweetwater 70-39, H-E outlasted C-R 48-39, Erick flogged Olustee-Eld 94-16, and Sentinel upset leedey 60-53.

THUNDER AT SPURS

For the first time in the early season, The Ok City Thunder dropped a second consecutive game last night against San Antonio. OKC fell way behind then battled back in the 4th to ultimately come up 6 points shy in a 110-104 defeat in their second of 4 in season tournament play in games. There's no rest for the weary though. The Thunder are back home tonight to play Portland then get 4 days off before a brutal road swing starts next Monday in Sacremento.

FOOTBALL PLAYOFF COMMITTEE RANKINGS

The college football playoff committee released their 3rd set of rankings last night, and as usual there are differing opinions as to how well the committee did. The top 5 remained unchanged with Oregon 1, Ohio St 2, Texas 3, Penn St 4, and Indiana 5. Notre Dame's 6, Alabama 7, Miami 8, Ole Miss 9, Georgia 10, Tennessee 11, Boise St 12, SMU 13, and BYU 14. The four teams that would earn byes at the moment would be Oregon, Texas, Miami, and Boise St. The first round matchups would feature Ohio St hosting BYU, Penn St would welcome Georgia, Indiana at home against Ole Miss. Notre Dame would be at home against Alabama. 

This week's biggest matchups include #2 Ohio St hosting #5 Indiana. #14 BYU's at #21 Az St. #19 Army and #6 Notre Dame will meet at Yankee Stadium.
