Canute Day Returns Sept. 27 with Full Day of Events

Canute, OK — The community will gather on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, for the annual Canute Day, presented by Canute Preservation & Restoration. The celebration runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Canute Park and features a lineup of activities for all ages.

The day kicks off with a 5K and 2-mile fun run at 8 a.m. Runners can fuel up afterward with beignets and mimosas at Friends Pub & Pizza from 8 to 10 a.m.

At 10 a.m., the traditional parade rolls down Route 66 through town, followed by food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly activities opening up around 11 a.m.

A silent auction will take place from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Pavilion, with proceeds going toward Canute Preservation & Restoration. At the same time, an afternoon golf cart poker run will also benefit CPR66, with times to be announced.

From 2 to 4 p.m., the Canute Heritage Center will host history storytelling and a heritage quilt show, giving visitors a chance to connect with the town’s past.

Live entertainment will play throughout the afternoon, leading into an evening band and dance from 6 to 10 p.m.

Families can also enjoy an 8 p.m. movie at Regeneration Youth Ministry (RYM), followed by a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m., sponsored by the Canute Lions Club.
