One Injured in Head-On Collision in Kiowa County

Kiowa County, OK – A Mountain View woman was injured Wednesday night in a head-on collision along State Highway 9 in Kiowa County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:07 p.m. when a westbound vehicle driven by 65-year-old Carl Celsor of Yukon crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle.

The eastbound driver, 68-year-old Erma Hatcher of Mountain View, was injured in the collision. Troopers confirmed she was wearing her seatbelt at the time. Details on the extent of her injuries were not released.

Celsor was not hurt in the crash. No passengers were in either vehicle.

Troopers said next of kin were notified. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
