Beckham County, OK – A 22-year-old Amarillo man escaped injury after a rollover crash Sunday morning on Interstate 40 in Beckham County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the wreck happened around 7:25 a.m. on the westbound side of I-40 near mile marker 32.

Investigators report that Yareth J. Melgar Rivera, of Amarillo, was towing another vehicle when he lost control. His vehicle and the one being towed both veered off the road to the left and rolled multiple times.

Rivera was not hurt, but one of his three passengers was injured. All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

No fatalities were reported, and next of kin notifications were not required.

The Highway Patrol noted the information was part of the preliminary investigation and could be subject to change.
