Foss, OK — One of Western Oklahoma’s most anticipated summer celebrations returns this year as Foss Lake Christmas in July brings two full days of fun to Foss State Park, July 11 and 12, 2025.

Festivities kick off Friday, July 11, at 1 p.m., with lights out at 11 p.m. The evening’s highlight will be the opening ceremony at Cedar Point Circle at 7:30 p.m., honoring veterans with a special guest speaker, a tribute to Joe and Neva Pyatt, and a flag retirement ceremony led by local Boy Scouts.

The fun picks up early Saturday morning, July 12, with gates opening at 8 a.m. and lights out again at 11 p.m. The Foss Lake Fun Run begins at 7 a.m. from the State Park office, followed by a kayak trail event at 10 a.m. at the Chinaberry Campground, with a meet-up time of 9:30 a.m.

Another fan-favorite returns at 2 p.m. — the Duct Tape & Cardboard Boat Race at Chinaberry Campground, challenging participants to stay afloat in their most creative watercraft builds.

The evening heats up with the Dean Jackson Band headlining a street dance from 8 to 11 p.m., which will pause mid-show for the much-anticipated fireworks display over the lake.

With patriotic flair, fun competitions, and family-friendly entertainment, Foss Lake Christmas in July continues to be a highlight of the summer in Oklahoma.
