Local Texas Elections Set for May

Wheeler County, TX – Local elections are just around the corner, with key seats up for grabs in Shamrock, Wheeler, and the Parkview Hospital in Wheeler, Texas. Voters will help shape the future of their communities by heading to the polls on May 3.

Shamrock City Council has four open positions. The candidates include Jim Baker, Richard Kincannon, Jeanne Crossland, and Brandon Arnold.

Wheeler City Council elections include:

  • Mayor: Dale Kidd (unopposed)

  • Place 1: Kelli Hampton (unopposed)

  • Place 3: Bryan Markham (incumbent) vs. Keith Rose

  • Place 5: Amy Zybach vs. Tracy Tignor (incumbent)

Parkview Hospital Election:

  • Precinct #1: Janie VanZandt

  • Precinct #2: Ken Daughtry

  • At Large: Pam Hibler and incumbent Brenda Sparlin
