Custer County, OK — A Texas fugitive accused of probation violation related to a child sexual assault case has been charged in Custer County, Oklahoma.

According to court documents filed on February 19, 2025, Jess Lee Kolander, 19, was taken into custody in Oklahoma as a fugitive from justice. Authorities state that Kolander fled from Potter County, Texas, where they were facing charges for violating probation in connection with a prior sexual assault of a child case.

District Attorney Angela C. Marsee filed formal charges in Custer County District Court, citing Kolander's unlawful flight from Texas to Oklahoma. Under Oklahoma law, the charge of fugitive from justice is a felony offense. If convicted, Kolander could face imprisonment in the county jail for up to one year.

The case remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet released details on Kolander’s extradition back to Texas.
