Last Week to Request Absentee Ballots For November 5th Election

The deadline to request absentee ballots by mail is approaching. Applications must be received by your County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, October 21.

Voting officials remind voters that absentee voting is available to all, and applications can be submitted in several ways. In Oklahoma, no excuse is required to vote by absentee ballot. Voters can submit their application online, in person, by fax, mail, or even by email.

Voters can apply online through the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp. Applications are also available at your County Election Board or can be downloaded from oklahoma.gov/elections.

Officials also remind voters that only the applicant can submit his or her own absentee ballot application. It is illegal to submit an absentee ballot application on behalf of someone else.

Voters with questions about absentee voting should contact their County Election Board. County Election Board offices are typically located in your county seat and are open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
