Elk City, OK — Elk City will celebrate the completion of its Main Street project with a grand opening event on Saturday, April 18, bringing the community back to the heart of downtown.

The event marks the culmination of months of construction and improvements aimed at revitalizing the area for local businesses and visitors. Organizers are inviting residents and visitors to spend the day shopping, dining and enjoying activities along Main Street.

The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon. Local shops will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with food trucks, special deals and treats available throughout the day.

City officials and organizers say the event is an opportunity to showcase the renewed downtown while encouraging support for local retailers.

Community members are encouraged to attend with friends and family and take part in the reopening of one of Elk City’s central gathering places.
