Four Arrested in Burglary and Vandalism Case at Historic Casa Grand Hotel

Elk City, OK – Four individuals have been arrested following a burglary and vandalism investigation at the Historic Casa Grand Hotel in Elk City, according to the Elk City Police Department.

The incident occurred at the historic hotel located along U.S. Route 66 while the building was undergoing renovations. Investigators say numerous historical artifacts were stolen during the break-in, and the property sustained extensive damage.

According to the police department, the loss of the artifacts and the damage to the building represents a significant impact to a local landmark and to the community.

During the investigation, officers with the Elk City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Patrol Division executed four search warrants at separate residences within Elk City. As a result of those operations, four suspects were taken into custody.

Authorities believe additional suspects may have been involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have seen individuals in possession of unusual or historical items that could be connected to the Casa Grand Hotel, is encouraged to contact investigators.
