SWOSU Names 2025-26 Johnny & Judy Beech Scholars

Weatherford, OK — Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has named John Elam of Shattuck, Courtney Riley of Piedmont, Madeline Rahon of Placentia (CA), and Lilyan Rangel of Merritt as the Johnny & Judy Beech Scholars for Academic Year 2025-2026.

All four students are seniors majoring in Accounting.

The Johnny & Judy Beech Scholarship was established in 2021 by Johnny and Judy Beech of Edmond, Oklahoma, to provide financial support to SWOSU students studying in the disciplines of management, accounting, and parks and recreation management.

The Beeches are both alumni of SWOSU and have been active, generous members of both the SWOSU Alumni Association and the SWOSU Athletic Association. They are longtime supporters of many SWOSU programs, ranging from football to the annual Jazz Festival.

The SWOSU Foundation, Inc. was established in 1977 to promote philanthropy, award scholarships, and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU.
