Pedestrian Killed in US-62 Collision Near Hollis

Hollis, OK — A 54-year-old Hollis woman was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 62, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 4:08 p.m. on February 14, about one mile west of Hollis in Harmon County.

Troopers reported that a vehicle driven by an elderly woman was traveling westbound on U.S. 62 when it struck a pedestrian who was walking westbound on the north shoulder of the highway. The pedestrian was identified as Janara R. Musgrave, 54, of Hollis.

Musgrave sustained injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased. Next of kin have been notified, according to the report.

Authorities said the driver left the scene following the collision. The vehicle was later located that evening and the driver was not injured. No passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop M is continuing to investigate. Officials noted that the information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation progresses.
