Wheeler County, TX – Bobbie Walker has announced her candidacy for Wheeler County Clerk, citing long-standing ties to the county and extensive experience in county government.

Walker has lived in Wheeler County for 26 years and will mark 11 years of service in the County Clerk’s office in February 2026. She said her time in the office has provided hands-on knowledge of daily operations as well as election procedures.

In addition to her work with the county, Walker has served in several local leadership roles. She spent three years on the Mobeetie City Council and later served six years, or three terms, as mayor of the City of Mobeetie. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Old Mobeetie Texas Association, which operates the Mobeetie Jail Museum.

Walker has been active in her community through church service as well, serving in various capacities and committees at First Baptist Church Mobeetie and Central Baptist Church in Pampa.

Walker said she is seeking the office to continue serving Wheeler County and asked for voters’ support in the upcoming election.
