Great Plains Regional Medical Center Offers Mammogram Special This October: Care for Your Pair

The Penny News 890

Elk City, OK – Great Plains Regional Medical Center (GPRMC) is encouraging women to prioritize their breast health this October with a special $35 mammogram offer as part of its Care for Your Pair campaign. The promotion features Genius™ 3D Mammography™, an advanced breast imaging technology designed to improve early detection of breast cancer.

Genius 3D Mammography uses state-of-the-art breast tomosynthesis to provide a clearer, more detailed view of breast tissue. Clinical studies show that this technology not only increases the likelihood of detecting breast cancer early but also reduces the number of women asked to return for additional testing. By offering Genius exams, GPRMC is providing women a more accurate and effective tool for breast cancer screening. Early detection is proven to save lives, and regular mammograms remain one of the most powerful tools in the fight against breast cancer.

Dr. Rafel Alvarez, a radiologist at GPRMC, emphasized the importance of early detection.

"This October, we want every woman to know that scheduling a mammogram is one of the most important steps she can take for her health,” Alvarez said. “With the advanced imaging we have available today, we’re able to detect concerns earlier and give patients greater peace of mind."

GPRMC’s $35 mammogram special is available October 1–31, 2025 for self-pay patients, paid at the time of service with no insurance required. For women age 40 and older, screening mammograms are covered under most insurance plans.

Women interested in scheduling a 3D mammography exam or learning more about this vital breast health procedure are encouraged to call (580) 821-5565. Additional information is available at www.gprmc-ok.com.

GPRMC will honor the special pricing for all mammograms scheduled in October, even if the actual appointment does not occur until after the end of the month.
