Clinton Teen Facing Felony, Misdemeanor Charges After Police Chase

The Penny News 845

Clinton, OK — A Clinton teenager is facing felony and misdemeanor charges following a high-speed police pursuit earlier this month in Custer County.

According to court records, Ryder Lane Entz, 18, of Clinton, has been charged with endangering others while eluding a police officer, a felony, and assault on a police officer, a misdemeanor.

Prosecutors say the incident happened on September 1, 2025, when police attempted to pull Entz over in a residential area near Highway 183 and Opal Avenue. Investigators allege Entz accelerated in a 2005 Ford SUV, reaching speeds of up to 75 miles per hour, while a juvenile passenger was inside the vehicle.

Court filings state Entz ignored visual and audible signals to stop and only came to a halt after endangering others in the area.

Entz is also accused of threatening to shoot an officer while knowing the officer was performing official duties.

If convicted, Entz faces up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine for the felony charge, and up to six months in jail or a $500 fine for the misdemeanor.

Entz is scheduled to appear in Custer County District Court on September 17, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
