Elk City Police Investigating Sayre Man for Internet-Related Child Crimes

Elk City, OK – The Elk City Police Department is conducting an investigation at the request of the District Attorney’s Office involving Mickey Ezell Jr. of Sayre, Oklahoma.

Ezell was arrested Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025, at his residence in Sayre on charges related to child crimes involving the internet. According to police, evidence has surfaced indicating there may be additional victims.

The Elk City Police Criminal Investigations Division is working to identify anyone else who may have had contact or involvement with Ezell.

Anyone with information or who believes they may be a victim is urged to contact Captain Sammy Weygand at 580-225-1212 or email WEYGAND@ELKCITY.COM. Authorities say all information will be handled with strict confidentiality.

The department is asking for the public’s help in sharing this information to reach anyone who may be affected.

Police say protecting children remains a core mission, and they are committed to pursuing justice on behalf of the most vulnerable.
