Weatherford Man Charged With Felony Stalking and Computer Crimes in Violation of Court Order

Custer County, OK – A Weatherford man is facing two felony charges after allegedly violating a protective order through repeated attempts to contact a woman.

According to court records filed in Custer County District Court, Alex Blade Gudmundson, 23, was charged with Stalking in Violation of a Court Order and Violation of Oklahoma Statute via Computer. The case was filed on April 2, 2025.

The charges stem from incidents that occurred in February 2025 while Gudmundson was reportedly incarcerated at the Custer County Jail. Authorities allege he sent more than 50 phone calls, 20 text messages, and 9 letters to the victim and her family, despite an active protective order barring all contact.

Investigators say Gudmundson used the jail’s communication system to reach the victim’s personal phone and place of work, causing her to feel threatened and harassed. According to affidavits, Gudmundson also sent handwritten letters referencing their past relationship and making comments about getting back together, their child, and relocating.

The court document outlines that a Weatherford Police report and jail phone and message logs were used to verify the repeated contact. The victim confirmed receiving the letters and texts, some of which were delivered to her residence and others addressed to other people but believed to be intended for her.

Gudmundson is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing Conference on April 25, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

He has been previously charged with violating the same protective order five other times in Custer County.
