Two Killed in Head-On Crash Near Custer City

Custer County, OK — Two people were killed Friday afternoon in a head-on collision just west of Custer City.

The crash occurred around 3:56 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 183 and E 920 Road, about two miles west of town.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2019 Chrysler 300 driven by Monica N. Martinez, 42, of Clinton, was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2019 Ram 1500 driven by Jeffery D. Terrell, 51, of Custer City.

Both drivers were ejected from their vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say neither driver was wearing a seatbelt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, along with the condition of both drivers at the time of the accident.
