Sayre Man Arrested for Allegedly Contacting Juvenile in Violation of Protective Order

Beckham County, OK — A Sayre man has been arrested after investigators say he continued contacting a juvenile in violation of a protective order and probation conditions.

Bennett Jackson-Fox Talboys, 20, was taken into custody April 15 following an investigation by the Elk City Police Department.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Talboys is accused of violating a protective order, soliciting sexual conduct with a minor, violating the Computer Crimes Act, and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.

Investigators say Talboys had prior convictions involving the same juvenile and was under a protective order prohibiting any contact.

In March, police received multiple reports that Talboys was communicating with the juvenile through social media platforms, including YouTube and Pinterest, using message descriptions and shared accounts.

During the investigation, officers reviewed screenshots and messages they believed showed ongoing communication, including references to a relationship and plans to reunite when the juvenile turns 18.

On April 15, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in Sayre, where Talboys admitted to having contact with the juvenile despite the protective order, according to the affidavit.

Investigators also reported locating multiple firearms inside the home and a nearby barn. Due to Talboys’ status as a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Talboys was booked into the Beckham County Jail. A judge later determined probable cause existed for the arrest and set bond at $50,000 with a condition of no contact with the alleged victim.
