Clinton, OK — A Clinton man is facing a felony charge after police say he secretly placed cameras inside a woman’s bedroom and captured images without her consent, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Custer County District Court.

Jesse Dewayne King, 32, is charged with peeping tom with photographic or electronic equipment, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.

According to a probable cause affidavit, police were called to a the home of the victim after a report of a possible peeping tom. The woman told officers she discovered two hidden cameras in her bedroom after one of her children said King had placed them there.

Officers reported locating one camera under a desk and another positioned toward the bed. The woman told investigators she was unaware the devices were in the room.

The affidavit states the woman and King had recently separated after a long-term relationship.

Investigators seized the cameras and later obtained a search warrant for King’s phone. During a review of the device, authorities reported finding more than 2,000 recently deleted images, including screenshots that appeared to show a woman undressing inside the bedroom where the cameras were located.

Additional search warrants were executed on memory cards from the devices. Officers reported finding video clips showing a man adjusting a camera inside the bedroom prior to the investigation.

According to the affidavit, King told investigators the cameras had been placed in the home earlier and claimed the woman knew about them, though investigators noted statements and evidence suggesting otherwise.

The affidavit also lists potential additional charges under investigation, including burglary, sexual battery and use of electronic communications for lewd purposes.

A judge determined there was probable cause to issue an arrest warrant in the case.

Court records show the case has been filed in Custer County District Court.
