Three Defendants Sentenced Following Plea Hearings in Childress County District Court

Childress County, TX – On Thursday, December 11, 26 pleas were entered in the 100th Judicial District Court in Childress County.

The cases were prosecuted by District Attorney Luke Inman and Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle. Judge Dale Rabe Jr. presided.

Anthony Scott Neeley, 39, of Wellington, was sentenced to seven years in prison for the third degree felony offense of tampering with physical evidence. Neeley had originally pleaded guilty on February 27, 2024, and received four years of probation.

The State filed a motion to adjudicate on September 16, 2025, alleging 10 violations of community supervision. Neeley pleaded true to the allegations. He was also ordered to pay the remaining $500 fine and $340 in court costs.

Yvette Trevino, 34, of Wellington, was placed on four years probation for the first degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Trevino pleaded to an information filed by the State on December 3, 2025.

As part of her sentence, Trevino was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $500 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 in restitution, and complete 400 hours of community service. If her probation is revoked, she faces a possible sentence of 99 years to life in prison.

Colton Tanner Hays, 33, of Hollis, was placed on two years probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument. Hays pleaded to an information filed by the State on September 4, 2025.

Hays was ordered to pay an upfront $4,000 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 in lab restitution fees, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, he faces up to one year in county jail.
