Two Injured in Late-Night Single-Vehicle Crash in Rural Custer County

Thomas, OK – A single vehicle injury collision was reported late Monday night in rural Custer County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on December 15, 2025, at approximately 10:06 pm in a wheat field northeast of the intersection of County Road 2390 and County Road 0855, 2.7 miles north of Thomas.

Troopers report the vehicle was traveling southbound in the wheat field when it dropped into a waterway washout. The driver, Destry D. Christensen, 28, of Hydro, Oklahoma, was injured in the collision. One passenger was also injured. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

No fatalities were reported, and next of kin have been notified.

The collision is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop H.
