The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers, Wendi Holland and Richard Jones, spent April 20-23 teaching tornado safety and severe weather preparedness to Merritt Elementary kindergarten through second grade students.

Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning took time this week to recognize the county’s School Resource Officers in honor of National School Resource Officer Day, praising their impact on student safety and school culture across the area.
